Overview

John Landes Skatepark is Oceanside’s newest upgraded skate spot, tucked into the north end of John Landes Park on Lewis Street. Reopened in 2025 after a major renovation, the 7,500-square-foot park features smooth concrete and a modern street layout designed with input from local skaters. With ledges, rails, banks, and mellow transitions, it’s a perfect neighborhood park for everyday sessions and progression.

The skatepark sits inside a larger community space with basketball and tennis courts, a playground, picnic tables, and open fields—making it easy for families to enjoy a day at the park while skaters ride. It’s smaller than Oceanside’s Prince Park, but that’s what gives John Landes its charm: it’s approachable, easy to navigate, and community-focused.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking for a relaxed spot to work on your street skills, John Landes Skatepark offers a clean, welcoming environment in the heart of Oceanside.
