Afterschool Skateboarding Program

Bring skateboarding to your school! Our structured afterschool programs combine fitness, confidence, and fun — led by Pro Skater Mike Owen and the San Diego Skateboarding team. Designed for elementary through high school students, we make learning safe, educational, and exciting.

About the Program

The San Diego Skateboarding Afterschool Program offers students a unique, positive way to stay active and learn new skills in a safe, structured environment. With professional instructors, safety gear provided, and portable skate setups when needed, our sessions fit perfectly within school schedules and facility spaces.

Each session focuses on progression, teamwork, and creativity — helping students build balance, coordination, and confidence both on and off the board. We adapt our approach to all skill levels, making sure everyone succeeds at their own pace.

How It Works

Program Length: Typically runs in 6–8 week sessions, once or twice per week after school hours.
Duration: 60–90 minute classes depending on schedule and student age.
Equipment: Boards, helmets, and pads provided when needed — or students can bring their own.
Locations: On-campus blacktops, basketball courts, or designated skate areas. We also offer off-site park sessions.
Instructors: All lessons led by Pro Skater Mike Owen and certified SDS coaches experienced in working with youth groups.

Our team handles all setup, cleanup, and supervision. Schools just provide the space — we bring the energy and stoke!
